Reilly Downes is a singer/songwriter from the Texas Hill Country, making what she describes as “Sad Cowgirl Music”…

Reilly Downes has long been known as the Sad Cowgirl of Chicago. An Americana artist hailing from the Texas Hill Country, she cut her teeth as a session musician in Nashville, singing behind some of Americana’s favorite singer/songwriters.

Reilly's first solo album, Spent, earned her the #1 spot for Americana releases in 2022 as well as features on The Boot among other Americana and Country covering media. Shortly after, her haunting rendition of “Wicked Game” has landed her radio play, a feature on Spotify’s “Vibes” playlist, and more.

After a quieter 2023, Reilly exploded out the gate in 2024 singing alongside Jaime Wyatt, Brennen Leigh, Kaitlin Butts, Lamont Landers and more being described as “small, but mighty” with a voice and persona gaining her festival and Rollingstone recognition.
